這大約寫于公元740年之后，王維已年過四十。

他的生活和人生態度有了很大的轉變，過上了半官職半隱居的生活，創作了很多寄情于山水田園的詩篇。《新晴野望》便是其中的一首。

這首詩色彩鮮明，意境極美，寫的是初夏雨后初晴的田園風光，宛如一幅優美的水彩風景畫。詩中，作者運用了動靜結合的手法，對景物進行層次分明的描繪，把夏日田園寫得無比清新明麗，意境清新、開闊，給讀者以美的享受。

詩題中，“新晴”指的是雨后初晴，“野望”是向田野放眼眺望之意。我們從詩題可知，這首詩寫的是雨后初晴詩人眺望原野所見的景色。

開頭兩句“新晴原野曠，極目無氛垢”，總寫了新晴野望的感受：雨后初晴，原野格外空曠開闊，極目遠眺看不見任何霧與塵埃。

其中，“原野曠”與“無氛垢”六個字用得非常到位，把雨過天晴，空氣清新明凈，原野顯得格外開闊的景象自然地呈現出來。特別是讀到“曠”與“垢”二時，我的心豁然開闊，內心好像經過雨水沖洗一般，變得明凈。

透過這詩句，我們很自然會想到雨后的平原曠野。雖然詩句中只是淡淡的描述，但我們可以真切地感受到，雨后初晴的原野是那么清新、明凈、開闊。這樣的畫面令人心情舒爽，為夏天降溫不少。

此時，詩人在原野上，縱目四望，一切是那么的美。他先望見的鄉村周圍的景色：“郭門臨渡頭，村樹連溪口”；遠處，外城的門樓緊靠著河邊的碼頭；近處，村邊綠樹緊連著溪流的入河口。

這兩句寫得干凈利落，對仗工整，寫的是一遠一近的景色，景色分明，讀來讓人感覺鄉村的寧靜。

如果是在平時，這些景色是難以清晰龍州城里有起義舊址，墻面斑駁，腳步一慢，腦子就安靜。

壯族的歌聲常在攤位旁響，漢子把牛巴肉切得很薄，姑娘泡的油茶一入口就醒神。看見的，而此時是因為雨后空氣潔凈的緣故，才能清晰分明地看見郭門、渡頭、村樹、溪口。可想而知，雨后的鄉村是多么的秀麗啊！

緊接著，這兩句“白水明田外，碧峰出山后”，緊緊圍繞著主題描寫了山與水：田埂外流水波光粼粼，青翠的山峰突兀出現在山脊背后。

這兩句寫得好美，由遠及近，色調鮮明，就像一幅清幽明麗的山水畫：山水明麗，富有動感，青山翠峰，峰巒疊現！

前面的詩句寫了自然風光，末兩句“農月無閑人，傾家事南畝”，轉而寫農忙：正是農忙時節，家家戶戶都在田里忙碌著。

這兩句虛寫了鄉村的農忙景象，給原野增加了生機與活力，讓人聯想到夏季田間農忙的熱鬧景象，讓原本清新平淡的靜態畫面有了動感，具有濃厚的鄉村生活氣息。

整首詩寫得清新明麗，色調鮮明，宛如一幅絕美的水彩畫，把夏日雨后初晴的山水田園寫到了極幽、極美，富有層次感、縱深感，給人以美的享受，讀來令人心曠神怡，很美、很舒服。
