據記者Gianluigi Longari報道，國米在追逐柯蒂斯-瓊斯的過程中，與利物浦之間的分歧已有所縮小，但仍存在距離。
國米在1月轉會窗結束后，便與這名中場的經紀人開啟了對話。當時由于利物浦方面的意愿，瓊斯無法轉會至國際米蘭。
