據(jù)氣象部門監(jiān)測，受西南季風影響，20日白天到21日早晨，廣東陽江、江門、中山、深圳、惠州、汕尾和揭陽普遍出現(xiàn)了暴雨到大暴雨局部特大暴雨。陽江陽春、江門恩平、珠海斗門等地出現(xiàn)極端強降雨。記者從廣東省應急管理廳了解到，截至21日12時，此輪降雨全省累計轉(zhuǎn)移危險區(qū)域群眾超16000人。
